Job summary

Langan is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Houston. This role supports planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects, with exposure to mixed‑use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, and federal work.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, have 0–2 years of experience, an EIT or FE, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Entry to 2 years experience.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• EIT Certification or current FE registration.
• Internship or professional experience in site/civil design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, schedules and cost estimates using engineering software.
• Use reports, maps and drawings to assess soil, terrain, hydrological data for planning and design.
• Suggest approaches to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Apply engineering knowledge and advanced mathematics.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks.
• Perform other duties as requested.
