Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer with environmental experience to join our Environmental Services Global Practice in Kansas City, MO; Omaha, NE; Manhattan, KS; and Oklahoma City, OK.

You will lead or support civil and environmental designs for diverse projects, mentor junior staff, and help manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and client communications. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil/Environmental/Biology Eng required.
• 3 years min environmental eng experience; 6 years preferred.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support civil/environmental design teams on projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary projects and manage design tasks.
• Prepare design criteria, memos, reports, and cost estimates.
• Review work products and provide technical leadership.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality and safety.
• Build client relations and participate in meetings.
• Champion QA/QC and training.
