Job summary

SRC, Inc. seeks a Staff C++ Software Engineer to drive the technical direction of NASIC core platforms, architect scalable, low-latency systems, and set coding standards onsite at a government or contractor facility in Dayton, OH.

You will lead technical execution and mentor teams while solving complex, low-level engineering challenges. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of C++ production experience, TS/SCI clearance, and a track record in system design, performance optimization, and robust test

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with modern C++ (C++20/23) in production software.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with related experience.
• Deep expertise in system design and low-level resource management.
• Proven testing strategies across unit, integration, and stress tests.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design of highly scalable, low-latency C++ systems.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and code reviews.
• Spearhead performance optimization for throughput and memory efficiency.
• Identify technical debt and plan refactors and upgrades.
• Collaborate with product managers to map technical roadmaps.
• Coach and elevate mid-level and junior engineers.
