Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Actively working toward passing the CPA exam.
• Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Works cooperatively in teams.
• Ability to multi-task in detail- and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments with a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Assist in managing client relationships to deliver excellent client service.
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess, Caseware, and CCH Document is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand basic accounting records and financial statements.
• Assist in engagement planning, execution, review and findings interpretation.
• Prepare various tax returns (1040s, 1041s, 1065s, 1120-S, 1120s), extensions and projections.
• Prepare write-ups, bank reconciliations, and self-review before submission.
• Assist with miscellaneous tax filings (sales, payroll, 1099s).
• Coordinate day-to-day tax work and planning activities.
• Perform tax research to resolve issues.
• Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements.
• Work with client accounting records and software including QuickBooks.
• Review and verify journal entries and classifications.
• Prepare financial statements and engagement documentation.
