Rippling is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join our Scheduling team. You will build backend systems that provide visibility into labor cost, forecasting, attendance, and more for a global customer base.

You will shape architecture, collaborate with product managers and designers, and mentor junior engineers as part of Rippling’s international expansion. The role focuses on scalable, high-quality software in a fast-growing product suite.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience with Python/Django or similar technologies.
• Experience with React or JavaScript.
• Strong CS fundamentals, algorithms and system design.
• Product-focused with emphasis on end-user experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset suited to fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Write scalable, high-performance backend code powering workforce management products.
• Deliver features quickly with balance of speed and safety.
• Own architectural decisions and drive product lifecycle from ideation to production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other teams.
• Mentor and lead junior engineers, promoting engineering best practices.
• Influence team culture, structure and processes as an early member.
