Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and developing online SaaS applications (Backend).
• Experience leading meetings, cross-functional teams and technical decisions.
• BS or MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Expertise in Java/J2EE, SQL, AWS and backend technologies; REST/SOAP.
• Strong SDLC knowledge and unit testing/TDD experience.
• Excellent communication to explain complex topics to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop online SaaS web applications, prototypes or POCs.
• Lead requirements gathering, technical specs, planning and testing.
• Mentor engineers, demonstrate technical expertise, and lead a small team.
• Balance 40-60% hands-on coding with system design and operations.
• Produce architecture docs and presentations for stakeholders.
• Resolve defects across QA, pre-prod, prod, and post-release patches.
• Collaborate with product, QA/QE, and business units to drive results.
• Champion well-architected, scalable web/mobile applications; agile practices.
