Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in modern web and software engineering across frontend, backend, API, or full‑stack.
• Experience architecting and delivering complex multi‑service systems.
• Experience leading major technical initiatives without formal people management.
• Strong knowledge of scalable web architectures, APIs, caching, and cloud infra.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and chart a clear technical path.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and delivery of high‑impact initiatives across Fanatics Live.
• Design and evolve scalable architectures for live commerce, discovery, and transactions.
• Solve complex engineering problems spanning multiple systems and teams.
• Establish technical direction, patterns, and standards to speed delivery.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate opportunities into technical solutions.
• Remain hands‑on through architecture, prototyping, code reviews, and debugging.
• Address scalability, reliability, security, and performance risks.
• Balance speed, UX, quality, and long‑term platform health.
• Improve observability, testing, deployment safety, and resilience.
• Lead production incident responses and drive durable improvements.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through reviews and guidance.
• Build alignment across teams and communicate complex decisions clearly.
