Job summary

ClickUp is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join the Hierarchy Squad and own core SaaS backend services. You will build and scale high throughput systems using Node.js, NestJS, Express, and Postgres on AWS, collaborating with product, design, and other engineers.

You will optimize queries, refactor code for performance, and help maintain a reliable distributed architecture with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend experience in SaaS environments.
• Proven track record building and scaling distributed systems.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, scalable backend systems using Node.js (Express and NestJS).
