Job summary

FlyBox is building the platform for on-demand storage, with a senior staff-level backend focus. You will own the GraphQL API and domain services behind customer, box, order, subscription, billing, and warehouse operations, while touching admin web and mobile apps as needed.

You will design scalable APIs, manage persistence in PostgreSQL using Sequelize, and build robust background processing. Expect heavy collaboration with AI tooling, testing, and production-grade reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production software, backend heavy with ownership

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate TypeScript GraphQL and REST APIs with access control
• Own persistence in PostgreSQL and Sequelize including migrations and performance
• Build background processing with BullMQ and outbox patterns
• Integrate payments, tax, address validation, auth, and shipping
• Ship features in Next.js admin app and update mobile apps as needed
• Use AI coding agents daily to design, write, test, and review code
• Raise quality with tests, reviews, and production debugging
