Job summary

FlyBox is hiring a Staff Full-Stack Engineer focused on the backend. You will own the GraphQL API and domain services behind our apps and admin, handling customers, boxes, orders, subscriptions, billing, and warehouse operations.

You’ll also contribute across the stack, shipping web admin features and updating mobile apps as needed. Reporting to the CTO, you’ll drive production readiness, performance, and security while using AI-powered coding tools to design, test, and review code daily in a

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production software with backend ownership.
• Expert TypeScript/Node.js and production GraphQL.
• PostgreSQL with ORM in production, migrations and performance.
• Experience with BullMQ or similar queues.
• Experience with payments, billing, or subscriptions.
• Familiarity with React/Next.js frontend.
• Experience with mobile codebases (Swift/Kotlin) is a plus.
• Daily use of AI coding tools.
• BS in CS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate TS GraphQL and REST APIs with access control.
• Own persistence in PostgreSQL, migrations, and performance for orders and billing.
• Build background processing with BullMQ and webhooks.
• Integrate third-party systems for payments, tax, auth, shipping.
• Ship admin features in Next.js; adjust iOS/Android apps when needed.
• Work with mobile engineers on GraphQL queries and screens.
• Use AI coding agents to design, write, test, and review code; raise quality with tests.
