Job summary

SonderMind is seeking a Staff Engineer to own end-to-end backend features across services, AI pipelines, and front-end integrations. You will design scalable architectures, mentor engineers, and help shape a microservices approach while collaborating with product, design, and QA teams.

You’ll work with high-performance tools, emphasize quality, and leverage AI-enabled toolchains. Experience with ML is a plus, and LangChain/LangGraph familiarity is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building web services or full-stack apps.
• Strong hands-on experience in Ruby/Rails, TypeScript/Node, Python or similar backends.
• Deep understanding of APIs and PostgreSQL with performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Optimize database queries and service performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead complex projects.
