Job summary

Tapestry is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to co-anchor the technical direction of Infrastructure and Developer Productivity at Mountain View (HQ). You will help design and scale our multi-tenant cloud platform, build secure, self-service tooling, and automate delivery pipelines for rapid, safe software delivery.

You will collaborate with another Tech Lead and Engineering Manager to set a multi-year roadmap, enabling AI workflows and large-scale simulations while maintaining

Qualifications

8+ years of production experience in Infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
2+ years serving as Tech Lead or Staff Engineer directing roadmaps and architecture.
Advanced Kubernetes, multi-tenant cloud architectures, and IaC tooling.
Experience building large-scale, automated CI/CD pipelines for internal platforms.

Responsibilities

Architect and operate scalable Kubernetes clusters on GCP for multi-tenant workloads.
Design fast, automated build, test, and release pipelines with self-service environments.
Drive infrastructure as code and security with policy checks and secret management.
Mentor engineers and lead design reviews to raise technical standards.
