Job summary

Tapestry is seeking an experienced Java Developer with 5-7 years of hands-on experience to join our engineering team in New York. You will own complex technical challenges, drive end-to-end solutions, and contribute to building scalable, high-performance applications.

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, build RESTful APIs, and leverage AWS services to deliver cloud-ready solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, follow best practices, and participate in code

Qualifications

5-7 years of hands-on Java development experience.
Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS or similar).
Strong SQL skills and performance tuning.
Proficiency with Git and bash scripting.
Solid understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using JDK 11+.
Build and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services.
Develop cloud-ready applications and integrations using AWS services.
Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational databases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end.
Use Git and version control best practices to manage codebases.
Write and maintain bash scripts for automation and operations.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across development and production environments.
Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
