Kalepa is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer for IT to build and scale LLM-based systems that process billions of unstructured data points daily. You will own end-to-end backend architecture, design critical data models, and shape the technical direction for Kalepa’s AI-driven platform.

You will work across teams to ensure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency while delivering major product innovations in every release.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building and operating backend systems at scale.
• Experience delivering as tech lead on at least one major initiative.
• Experience with LLMs in production and deploying them at scale.

Responsabilités

• Lead backend initiatives: services, data models, asynchronous pipelines, and evals in Python on AWS.
• Set technical direction for LLM-based systems for reliability, cost, latency, and explainability.
• Lead architectural discussions and decisions across product teams.
• Deliver major product innovations in each release and guide feature scoping.
• Proactively manage technical debt and partner with product owners to drive decisions.
