Job summary

SentinelOne is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer, Agent Platform, to support Endpoint Protection, securing millions of devices globally. You will create high-throughput, low-latency services for policy and command distribution to agents, collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale capabilities.

You will primarily use Java (with Go and Python), leveraging gRPC/REST/GraphQL, Kafka, and databases across AWS/GCP regions, ensuring reliability, observability, and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• 8 years backend development experience in Java or Golang.
• Experience with designing large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS/GCP and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication with cross-functional teams and ability to mentor others.
• Experience with Kafka and modern databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, low-latency applications.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, operable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Maintain application stability by monitoring metrics and improving codebase.
• Refactor existing code and implement requested fixes/features.
• Learn new technologies to handle massive data volumes.
• Build the agent platform protocol for other teams and ensure reliability and observability across production fleets.
