Signifyd is seeking a staff back-end engineer to set technical direction for the platform retailers use to integrate with Signifyd. As a member of the Integrations & Onboarding team, you will own the architecture and long-term health of our public-facing API platform and ingestion services, defining both what we build and how we build it.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive software development experience with modern programming languages and functional programming style.
• Proven track record leading technical direction across multiple teams on large, ambiguous initiatives.
• Deep experience in a platform or product domain delivering measurable business value.
• Strong design and architecture skills; simplifying complex problems and robust interfaces.
• Experience owning long-term health of large systems: testing, operability, reduced key-person dependency.
• Experience building distributed systems or public-facing APIs at scale.
• Experience with AWS or GCP.
• Ability to influence without authority and communicate with engineers and non-engineers.
• Fluent with AI development tools; ability to guide teams in responsible adoption and code evaluation.

Responsabilidades

• Define and deliver the multi-year technical vision for the integration and ingestion platform across multiple teams and constraints.
• Make architecture-level technology decisions and tradeoffs.
• Own health and engineering quality of the platform: testing strategy, operability, and maintainability.
• Design systems under ambiguity with cross-team dependencies.
• Collaborate with product management, data engineering, and other teams to align roadmaps.
• Raise the technical bar through design and code reviews, focusing on API quality.
• Identify and address technical debt and drive remediation strategies.
• Mentor engineers and champion responsible use of AI development tools.
