Job summary

Ironclad, the leading AI contracting platform, seeks a Staff Systems Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-wide automations, AI-assisted workflows, and governed data integrations. You will work across Biz Tech with GTM, EPD, G&A and other teams to build scalable automation frameworks, ensuring reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex, business-critical systems (SaaS/B2B preferred).
• Expertise with Workato as primary automation platform; certification a plus.
• Hands-on with Glean or similar AI knowledge platforms; API usage and integrations.
• Deep familiarity with enterprise systems and data flow (Salesforce, NetSuite, BambooHR, identity tools).
• Strong architectural and automation design skills to define patterns and reusable components.
• Experience in ETL/ELT, data modeling, and SQL/T-SQL; scripting language for integrations.
• Experience operationalizing automation workflows and AI models with governance and monitoring.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication; translate business problems into designs.
• Comfortable leading by influence: set standards, guide designs, mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust automations and integrations across systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, BambooHR) with reliability and observability.
• Lead cross-functional integration projects end-to-end (requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment).
• Operationalize AI-powered workflows by integrating Glean and other AI tools in a governed way.
• Establish standards for automation design, testing, monitoring, documentation, and security; promote reuse.
• Implement robust error handling and alerting with runbooks and remediation patterns.
• Champion engineering practices (version control, code reviews, CI/CD for recipes).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into technical roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and analysts, providing design reviews and enablement sessions.
• Continuously explore innovation in automation patterns and AI agent capabilities.
