Job summary

The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates is seeking a full-time Staff Auditor for the Credit Union Audit Group to travel across Virginia, performing cash counts, interim and annual reports, and compliance audits. You will maintain relationships with regulators and document activities in NetSuite, while supporting LEVERAGE product solutions.

You will work independently or with teammates, with a focus on highly technical audits and management analysis, and you must be willing to relocate or live

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or on track to obtain bachelor's degree in accounting within three months of hire.
• Six to twelve months of general accounting experience, including knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and methods.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to state/federal credit unions and the ability to detect violations and non-compliance of state/federal rules and regulations.
• Credit Union experience a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• CUCE and BSACS designations preferred; or must be obtained within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout Virginia to perform highly technical audits for multiple credit unions.
• Conduct cash counts, interim and annual reports, and compliance audits.
• Maintain relationships with federal and state supervisory agencies and document work contacts, activities, and expense reports in NetSuite.
• Assist with technical problems, attend conferences and training sessions for credit union personnel and boards.
• Promote LEVERAGE products and services to generate leads and referrals to the Business Development teams.
