Job summary

The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates (The League) is seeking a full-time Staff Auditor to travel throughout Tennessee, conducting cash counts, interim and annual reports, and compliance audits for multiple credit unions. The role emphasizes technical audits, management analysis, and collaboration with supervisory agencies while supporting LEVERAGE initiatives.

Qualified candidates have accounting education, 6–12 months of accounting experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; CUCE/BSACS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or on track to obtain within three months of hire.
• Six to twelve months of general accounting experience.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to state/federal credit unions and the ability to detect violations and non-compliance.
• CUCE and BSACS designations preferred; or must be obtained within 24 months.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Travel to different credit unions to conduct cash counts, interim and annual reports, and compliance audits.
• Assist with technical problems, attend conferences, and training sessions for credit union personnel, supervisory committees, and boards.
• Maintain relationships with federal and state supervisory agencies and keep records in NetSuite.
• Support LEVERAGE products and services to generate leads and referrals to the Business Development teams.

As a Staff Auditor, you will travel to different credit unions to conduct cash counts, complete interim and annual reports, and complete compliance audits. Staff Auditors ensure our credit union's operations and procedures are correct and comply with the law by performing highly technical audits and management analysis. You will assist with technical problems, attend conferences, and training sessions for credit union personnel, supervisory committees, and credit union boards while promoting LEVERAGE products and services to generate leads and referrals to our Business Development Consultant teams. Supporting credit union employees, officers, and committee members to be successful in their processes is a key component for this role.

Credit Union Audit Group is a subcompany under LEVERAGE, committed to delivering high-quality audit and compliance solutions tailored to the unique needs of credit unions. Staff Auditor will be required to maintain relationships with federal and state supervisory agencies, while keeping a record of all work contacts, activities, and expense reports in NetSuite.

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or on track to obtain bachelor's degree in accounting within three months of hire.

4. Credit Union experience a plus

Work Schedule:

As a Staff Auditor, you will be required to travel throughout Tennessee, performing highly technical audits and various other auditing functions for multiple credit unions. You will work independently or with a team audit member based on the credit unions' needs. A valid driver's license is required. You must live locally or be willing to relocate to Tennessee. You can expect to work Monday through Friday, with occasional night and weekend engagements.
