Job summary

The Scion Group LLC seeks a Staff Attorney to develop and implement legal and company policy at the corporate level, supporting the legal team and property management staff in day-to-day operations. You will manage contract drafting and review, real estate documents, and coordinate with outside counsel on litigation and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• JD required with bar admission in at least one US state.
• 2–5 years of professional work experience, preferably in multi-family housing law.
• Fair Housing law experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and review commercial contracts.
• Draft and review housing agreements, leases and related real estate documents.
• Advise Paralegals in contract preparation and external communications.
• Respond to escalated resident complaints, attorneys and agencies under Fair Housing laws.
• Respond to vendor and resident disputes.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation matters.
• Coordinate with internal and outside counsel on acquisitions.
• Perform legal due diligence for potential acquisitions.
