Job summary

DNA - People’s Legal Services is seeking a staff attorney (state-licensed) for positions in Flagstaff, Fort Defiance, and Farmington. Attorneys must be admitted to the Arizona or New Mexico bar or eligible by motion/reciprocity and provide high-quality legal services to clients on tribal lands and in diverse communities.

The role requires strong oral and written communication, willingness to travel across DNA’s service area, and a commitment to serving people living in poverty.

Qualifications

• Be admitted to the Arizona or New Mexico bar, or eligible by motion/reciprocity
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel within the DNA service area
• Commitment to providing legal services to the poor and diverse communities

Responsibilities

• Reporting to Managing Attorney and Director of Litigation
• Providing the full range of high-quality legal services to DNA clients
• Following all DNA and funder policies and applicable laws
• Participating in community outreach, training programs and client education events
• Participating in remote, local or online intake
• Performing other duties as assigned
