Job summary

Health Law Advocates (HLA) seeks a Staff Attorney for its Access to Care and Coverage Practice in Massachusetts. The attorney will support MLPI and the Family Resource Center project, providing legal representation to immigrant clients and guiding a range of health care access matters.

The role emphasizes policy advocacy, client-centered service, and collaboration with hospitals and community partners. Strong writing and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and Massachusetts bar license.
• 2+ years of experience in legal or non-profit spaces as an attorney.
• Spanish or Portuguese language ability highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal representation to immigrant health care clients and related appeals.
• Manage case files and document activities in case management systems.
• Collaborate with MLPI and FRC partners to support access to health care.
• Develop trainings and outreach for staff and clinic partners.
• Engage in policy advocacy and coalition work to remove care barriers.
