Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) seeks a staff attorney to join its Columbus, GA office to provide high-quality civil legal services to low-income clients. The role emphasizes advocacy, education, and collaborative practice in a state-wide nonprofit firm.

The attorney will litigate, draft briefs, and participate in community outreach while supporting GLSP’s mission of access to justice. Bilingual skills and Georgia Bar admission are valued for broader service delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school and current Georgia Bar membership.
• Experience working with low-income individuals and commitment to social justice.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a professional and collaborative manner.
• Computer literacy including email, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Litigate cases in administrative, state and federal forums.
• Draft briefs, motions and memoranda.
• Circuit riding to assigned counties.
• Conduct community legal education sessions and outreach.
• Participate on action teams addressing systemic issues affecting clients.
