Job summary

YOUNGWILLIAMS INC in Mississippi—Brookhaven LS is seeking a Staff Attorney to provide legal services to establish paternity, child support, medical support and enforcement of orders. The role involves legal advice, counsel, and litigation.

The attorney will negotiates with opposing counsel, attend hearings, draft and sign documents, and update case management systems. A J.D. and state license are required; experience in domestic relations or as a prosecutor is preferred.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in the state where the project is located.
• Experience in domestic relations law or as a prosecutor is desired (child support enforcement preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper legal representation in all child support matters related to paternity and support order establishment and enforcement.
• Negotiates with opposing counsel, attends hearings, and performs other related actions
• Drafts, reviews, and signs legal documents.
• Updates automated systems with necessary information to monitor each case through the legal process.
• Attends weekly project team meeting.
