Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Staff Attorney to join our team. The Staff Attorney will support the Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel with drafting legal documents, performing research, and managing templates and records, under limited supervision.

The role emphasizes contract drafting, compliance support, and providing legal counsel to Navitus staff on business objectives and policies in a remote-capable setting.

Qualifications

: Completion of law degree from ABA-accredited program preferred.
: License to practice law required.
: Some experience in law firm or in-house legal department is required.
: Highly developed verbal and written communications skills to interact with internal and external Navitus stakeholders on sensitive topics.
: Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

: Research statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes.
: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts on behalf of the organization.
: Prepare memorandums and correspondence.
: Inform the development of Navitus legal changes and provide guidance on legal issues.
: Provide legal counsel to staff on business objectives and applicable policies.
: File legal documents and manage digital and physical filing systems.
: Develop processes for indexing and filing legal documents and managing contracts.
: Support other departments on contracts, operations and regulatory affairs issues.
: Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

USD $108,428.82 - USD $135,536.02 /Yr.

STAR Bonus % (At Risk Maximum)

7.50 - Salaried Non-Management except pharmacists

The Staff Attorney will assist the Navitus Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel with legal matters and be responsible for drafting legal documents and templates, performing legal research and analysis, managing document templates and corporate legal records, performing records research, and preparing correspondence, all under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?

Researches and analyzes statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes
Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts on behalf of the organization
Prepares additional legal documents, such as memorandums and correspondence
Informs the development of new Navitus legal changes and provides guidance on legal issues
Provides legal counsel to Navitus’ staff members on the implications of their business objectives and ensures that all of Navitus’ staff are informed of applicable policies and practices
Files legal documents and correspondence in digital and physical filing systems
Develops processes for the effective indexing and filing of legal documents and managing contracts
Provides support other departments as it pertains to contracts and business operations and regulatory affairs issues
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

Completion of law degree, from ABA accredited program is preferred
License to practice law required
Some experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department required
Highly developed verbal and written communications skills to interact tactfully and effectively with others both internal and external to Navitus on sensitive and complex topics
Ability to use a personal computer and possess advanced skills in software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
