Join a results-oriented Test Engineering team where you’ll have a direct impact on the quality, cost, and time-to-market of AMD microprocessors. You’ll work across the product lifecycle, from understanding pre-silicon product features and developing characterization test plans to identifying coverage gaps and building the software and hardware infrastructure needed for execution. You’ll collaborate closely with Design and Platform Engineering teams, with opportunities to influence future test strategies and product improvements.
Post-silicon, you’ll tackle complex microprocessor debug and characterization challenges involving silicon performance, yield, manufacturing processes, and device marginalities. Working across engineering teams, you’ll drive root-cause analysis, contribute to datasheet specifications, and identify improvements that enhance product performance, quality, and yield.
This position requires accountability for the quality and timeliness of outcomes within assigned projects or processes. The ideal candidate demonstrates problem-solving abilities through standard engineering methodologies and exercises independent judgment in complex technical decisions. Responsibilities include design and equivalent tasks within defined project scopes, covering test planning, creation, characterization, data analysis, and silicon debug for advanced process technologies.
Key duties include the development and debugging of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) test patterns and flows, ensuring device testability and manufacturability from development through production phases, and implementing product improvement measures to reduce cost, increase yield, and resolve quality issues.
