Description

The Division of Pathophysiology & Treatment Research in Department of Psychiatry is looking for a full time staff associate lll to work within the Computational Psychiatry at Columbia University (https://www.columbiapsychiatry.org/research-labs/horga-lab), directed by Dr. Guillermo Horga. This job will consist of developing and conducting behavioral and neuroimaging studies in humans with or without psychiatric conditions.

This position serves to support fMRI studies in the lab, providing guidance on the technical aspects of neuroimaging 6/04 HR Compensation, 615 W. 131st Street, Studebaker Building 4th Floor, New York, NY 10027 2 of 6 acquisition and implementing computational analyses on data. It is responsible for conducting neuroimaging experiments, performing analyses on data, and interpreting results. The position will ensure studies run smoothly and have sufficient scientific and analytical support.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., neuroscience, psychology, biology, computer science, or a related discipline) and a master's degree in neuroscience, bioinformatics, biostatistics, computational neuroscience, or a closely related field. Additionally, applicants must have 4-6 years of relevant experience.

Applicants should have 4–6 years of research experience in the design, preprocessing, and analysis of functional MRI (fMRI) datasets. Demonstrated expertise in quantitative data analysis, statistical modeling, and computational methods is required. Excellent programming skills, with proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and other scientific programming languages, are highly desirable.
