Job summary

AAA Club Alliance in Lexington, KY is hiring a full-time Retail Staff Assistant/Team Lead to enhance customer experience and guide a team to success. You will service customers, perform sales functions, and mentor staff while supporting daily store operations.

The role requires coaching others, achieving sales targets, and handling travel planning for members. A high school diploma and 3+ years in sales/customer service are expected; Notary designation or willingness to obtain is required within

• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Upsell and cross-sell AAA memberships, credit cards, and insurance referrals.
• Assist members with travel planning (car rentals, hotels, vacation packages).
• Answer overflow Roadside Assistance calls during peak times.
• Support Retail Manager by leading associates and improving store performance.
• Assist in cashiering, tag and title, and IDEMIA services as needed.

In addition to performing key customer service and sales functions, you’ll serve as a mentor and leader, contributing to the daily operations and overall performance of the store.Consistently up-sell and cross-sell AAA products such as new memberships, credit cards, and insurance referrals.Assist members in planning domestic travel vacations, including car rentals, hotels, vacation packages, maps, tour books, and triptiks.Answer incoming overflow calls for Roadside Assistance during peak call volumes, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.Serve as backup by assisting in the functions of Cashiering, Tag and Title, and IDEMIA services if applicable.Support the Retail Manager by leading associates and enhancing the store’s success.What you will need:Required at least 3 years sales and customer service experience, with an ability to drive results and exceed expectations.Previous experience in a lead or supervisory position is preferred.Showcase effective written and oral communication skills, essential for engaging customers and articulating the value of AAA memberships.Navigate multiple websites and programs with ease, demonstrating proficiency in computer skills essential for multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment.Basic geography knowledge is beneficial.Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain with 6 months of employment.High school diploma or equivalent requiredSatisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor specific screenings.
