Buffalo State University is seeking a dedicated ice arena supervisor to oversee all operations of the facility, including ice installation and maintenance, and the Zamboni care. You will supervise student workers, manage contracts and invoicing for external rentals, and ensure smooth day-to-day arena activities.
Responsibilities include skate sharpening, locker room scheduling, and varsity game management, with opportunities to explore additional revenue streams in the off-season.

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of managing the ice arena. This includes, but is not limited to ice installation and maintenance, driving the Zamboni/Olympia, Zamboni/Olympia maintenance, supervision of student workers, recruitment, contracts and invoicing of external rental groups, skate sharpening, locker room scheduling, varsity game management and general facility supervision and maintenance. During ice arena off season will explore additional revenue streams for the facility and assist with oversight, supervision of all athletic facilities. Will perform other duties assigned that are consistent with the skills and abilities related to this position and that address the university’s strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
Prior experience with ice rink supervision and ice maintenance, including experience driving/operating ice resurfacing machine; interpersonal communication skills; ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet operational and event needs.
