IQVIA’s Global Technology and Operations (GTO) group’s responsibility is expanding. To effectively navigate this increased scope of managing projects for our internal divisions, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Enterprise Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture team within the Architecture and Standards Group (A&S) of our Global Technology & Operations organization.

Job Overview :

The Staff Enterprise Architect (EA) will be responsible for closely partnering with IQVIA Business Unit teams to understand business OKRs, help shape technology strategy aligned with enterprise standards, and co-lead the design of high-level system architectures to deliver business outcomes. The EA will promote reusability, address technical debt, and mitigate the proliferation of technology components and services by championing “the IQVIA way” within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience envisioning and contributing to the technology roadmap and IT strategy, a deep understanding of software architecture principles, and a strong background in large, global, and complex technology ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Partner with business and technology subject experts to understand, articulate, and translate business requirements, use cases, and product features into architecture blueprints and high-level solution designs.
2. Partner with IQVIA Business Unit stakeholders and work closely with engineering and product teams to promote our API-first development strategy.
3. Present to stakeholders how architectural options will meet their needs.
4. Be the Architecture thought leader and trusted partner for Product and Engineering Leadership across the organization, recommending innovative solutions to improve live and new system architectures.
5. Create business cases to analyze, plan, and prioritize investments in business capabilities.
6. Map business capabilities to underlying processes, systems, and technologies.
7. Partner with business line managers to provide comprehensive technical and system expertise to align IT strategic direction and architecture concepts.
8. Collaborate with A&S EA peers, TA, and engineering community across IQVIA to validate business use cases for shared services delivery.
9. Lead & manage the EA application portfolio for IQVIA, promoting stakeholder alignment to maintain business and technology inventories.
10. Devise and present complex business cases and program release plans to senior management with priority recommendations to evolve IQVIA's architecture roadmap.
11. Keep abreast of new trends and technological changes, identifying opportunities for future system implementation.
12. Design the technology stack and engineering principles for new digital platforms.
13. Identify industry leaders and evaluate their use of technology, making practical recommendations for continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

1. 5-7 years of experience in software development and enterprise architecture.
2. Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions.
3. Ability to present and communicate business and technical concepts effectively.
4. Ability to think critically and solve problems.
5. Demonstrated skills across multiple IT domains (application, security, infrastructure).
6. Experience in enterprise or application architecture, development, and systems management.
7. Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, microservices, RESTful APIs, and modern design techniques.
8. Deep knowledge of API-first design patterns.
9. Experience with on-premise solutions and cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
