Job summary

Arm Limited seeks an experienced software and tooling Application Engineer to work with customers using our tools, with a strong focus on debugging. The role is based in our Taipei or Hsinchu office, collaborating from system bring-up through mass production.

The successful candidate will bring deep software tooling expertise, extensive JTAG knowledge, and a background in server-oriented development. Strong interpersonal skills and customer empathy are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering.
• Multiple years in software tooling and platform development, preferably for servers.
• Extensive knowledge of debug protocols, in particular JTAG; HW debug probes and developer debug environments.
• Knowledge developing and programming for multi-processing heterogeneous systems.
• Experience of Semiconductor bring-up: from power-on, firmware enablement and Full operating system boot.
• Background in an application engineering group or working directly with customers.
• Experience crafting and debugging software in C/C++ and assembly.
• Experience in low-level debug.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to bring up and debug complex systems using Arm tools.
• Deliver training and value-add services from bring-up to mass production.
• Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams.
