Job summary

ServiceNow seeks an experienced engineer in San Diego to own end-to-end software delivery, integrating AI into business workflows. You will design, implement, and mentor across teams while building scalable UI components using modern frameworks.

Expect collaboration with product owners, emphasis on performance, and architecture of reusable systems. Base pay is substantial with equity where applicable and strong benefits. This is a high-impact role at ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• AI integration experience or strong interest in applying AI to workflows.
• 8+ years JavaScript and web application experience.
• Proficiency with modern UI frameworks: Lit, React, Vue, or Angular.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OO design and patterns.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with technical risk across teams.
• Track record as functional lead or technical owner.
• Experience designing modular, reusable component systems.
• Strong relational database development, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Experience with Java or similar OO language (C++, C#, Go).

We are the PAXE - Experience Builders team at ServiceNow. (https://www.servicenow.com/) We are an Engineering unit responsible for Lux admin configuration framework where we enable the building AI Native Platform Experiences.

What you get to do in this role:

• Own code from design, implementation, test automation, and delivery of high-quality product to our users

• Architect modular, reusable component systems for scalability and extensibility

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the industry)

• 8+ years JavaScript and web application experience

• Advanced experience with modern UI frameworks: Lit, React, or Vue, Angular

• Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects with material technical risk across teams and processes

• Track record serving as functional lead or technical owner

• Experience designing and architecting modular, reusable component systems

• Advanced knowledge and experience with relational databases: development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

• Experience with Java or similar OO language (C++, C#, Go equivalent acceptable)

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $149,800 - $262,200 , plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.

Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
