Job summary

The Hampton VA Medical Center seeks a Staff Anesthesiologist to provide perioperative care within a multidisciplinary team, supervising CRNAs, and supporting EDRP eligibility. The position features full-time hours, on-site work, and competitive compensation with federal benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctor of medicine or equivalent in allopathic or osteopathic medicine.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Board certification in anesthesia or eligibility with appropriate credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative anesthesia care and collaborate with the anesthesia team.
• Supervise CRNAs and coordinate call schedules and coverage.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and participate in treatment planning.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, VA policies and safety standards.
