Job summary

Taptap Send is seeking a hands-on Staff Analytics Engineer to own the dbt modelling layer that informs Finance, Product, and Markets. You will set the technical bar for Analytics Engineering, delivering trusted, self-serve data as the company scales in a cross-border payments context.

You will report to the Head of Data and partner with the COO, Engineering, Finance, Treasury, and Markets. The role is full-time with hubs in London, Dubai, or NYC, enabling global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Analytics Engineering and/or Data Science.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large, complex datasets using dbt.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on experience with cloud tech (AWS, GCP or Azure) and a modern cloud warehouse (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• Fluency with modern BI tools (Looker/Mode) to enable self-serve data.
• Experience with Python and/or R.
• Right to work in one of advertised hubs (UK/US/UAE).
• Detail-oriented and pragmatic with a 'no task too small' attitude.

Responsibilities

• Own dbt transformations; design, build and maintain mission-critical models with tests and docs.
• Produce dashboards, alerts and tools to surface issues before incidents.
• Build knowledge layer, docs and quality checks to enable self-serve data.
• Apply AI tools across the modelling lifecycle and drive adoption across teams.
• Tackle high-priority data projects and domain problems.
• Peer-review code, share best practices, mentor the team, raise data standards.
