Job description

Position Overview

The Capacity Planning, Staff Analyst will be responsible for modeling, analyzing, and optimizing capacity risk across our global portfolio of manufacturing processes and production lines. The role translates demand into capacity needs across Beckman Coulter’s extended value streams with critical suppliers and OEMs, partnering closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Management and Commercial Teams to ensure feasible, data‑driven capacity plans that balance demand growth, throughput, labor, equipment, and material constraints.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain long‑range end‑to‑end capacity models for complex manufacturing lines (multi‑step, variable cycle times, shared resources) and deploy standard, repeatable processes across our product lines globally.
  • Lead standard processes of assessing global capacity needs, proactively identifying risk areas, and driving proactive risk‑mitigation projects with strong cross‑functional leadership and communication.
  • Perform what‑if scenario analysis to evaluate demand changes, mix shifts, new product introductions, and process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, operations, supply chain management or related field with 9+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience, or Doctoral degree with 4+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience modeling capacity for complex manufacturing processes (not just simple rate‑based planning).
  • Experience supporting S&OP/IBP or long‑range capacity planning.
  • ERP planning system experience (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Kinaxis, OMP) and depth of experience with modeling tools and advanced analytics.
Travel

Up to 20% travel.
