Job summary

Dexcom is seeking a Staff Algorithm Engineer to lead modeling and simulation for emerging biosensing technologies. You will develop first‑principles, mechanistic, and machine‑learning models, and design experiments to validate assumptions.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive technology investments and roadmap decisions. The role requires a PhD or MS with extensive experience in quantitative fields, strong coding in Python/MATLAB, and excellent communication to both

Qualifications

• PhD with 2–4 years industry experience, or MS with 5–7 years; related disciplines accepted.
• Strong background in mathematical modeling, statistics, and ML.
• Experience with first-principles and predictive models of complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead algorithm, modeling, and simulation activities for emerging sensing tech.
• Develop mechanistic, statistical, and ML models to understand biosensing phenomena.
• Design experiments and analyses to evaluate technology feasibility and limits.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to identify opportunities and risks.
• Create simulation environments and predictive models to guide investments.
• Communicate findings to technical, business, and senior leadership.
• Influence long-term technology roadmaps with scientific rigor.
