Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer on the Decision Intelligence & AI Solutions team in Bentonville, AR.

You will design scalable AI, analytics, and intelligent automation solutions to improve merchandising decisions and execution. You’ll collaborate across merchandising, product, data science, and tech teams to translate business needs into robust software using cloud, AI/ML, and agentic AI frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related field; 4 years’ experience OR 6 years’ experience in software engineering.
• Strong knowledge of agentic AI, AI/ML, LLMs, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable AI-driven applications and intelligent automation.
• Apply cloud-native architecture to build reliable, scalable solutions.
• Lead software development activities including coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop agentic AI workflows integrating LLMs, AI/ML models, APIs, and human-in-the-loop.
