General Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer with 5-10+ years of expertise in AI/ML to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in model development, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), experience in quantization and model debugging.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and optimize AI/ML models to work on edge devices.
2. Perform model quantization and debugging to ensure high performance and efficiency.
3. Conduct CPU profiling and manage DDR to optimize system performance.
4. Implement and deploy ML models and AI applications on edge devices.
5. Develop AI applications and agentic apps on LLM and multi-modal models.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into wireless and networking systems.
7. Utilize cloud technologies to enhance AI/ML model deployment and scalability.

Qualifications:

1. 5-10+ years of experience in AI/ML model development and deployment.
2. Proficiency in CNNs, quantization, and model debugging.
3. Experience with DDR and CPU profiling.
4. Strong understanding of ML models and AI applications on edge devices.
5. Knowledge of wireless LAN and networking technologies is desirable.
6. Experience with cloud technologies is desirable.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with popular AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$151,900.00 - $227,900.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
