Job summary

Okta is seeking a Staff AI Security Engineer to define the technical vision and build secure AI infrastructure for enterprise agents. You will mentor engineers, partner with cross-functional teams, and design scalable security controls across agentic workflows and autonomous systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with Python/Go, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), and frameworks like LangChain. You will lead threat modeling, pave secure design patterns, and drive security standards across Okta’s

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of AI threat landscape including OWASP, MITRE ATLAS, NIST AI RMF with practical risks such as prompt injection, excessive agency, data exfiltration.
• 8+ years in security engineering or backend development with Python or Go and cloud experience.
• Experience securing or auditing agentic frameworks operating within sandboxed environments.
• Architectural expertise designing scalable cloud infra and API security for enterprise systems.
• Track record in building developer-first security tools and platform controls.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to influence engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI security controls and guardrails for enterprise AI features.
• Lead threat modeling and security reviews for agentic AI systems and deployments.
• Build paved roads and security standards to accelerate engineering velocity.
