Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer - AI & Agentic Systems to secure AI-enabled apps and agentic workflows. You will partner with engineering, product, and data teams to embed security into design and operation, guiding risk assessments and secure design patterns.

You will mentor teams, define controls for AI environments, and drive responsible AI security adoption across the enterprise. This is a full-time role with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, or securing enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
• 5+ years of application security, including threat modeling, secure design, code review, and vulnerability management.
• 5+ years of programming in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Go.
• 3+ years developing or securing AI, ML, or generative AI solutions.
• 3+ years with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application and AI security standards, best practices, and guardrails.
• Promote secure-by-design principles across development lifecycles.
• Establish secure design patterns for AI agents, prompt management, and autonomous workflows.
• Partner with engineering to identify and mitigate AI-specific security risks.
• Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security assessments.
• Guide security controls across product roadmaps and development processes.
