Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer for AI & Agentic Systems to secure AI-enabled apps and agentic workflows. You will collaborate with engineering, product and data teams to embed security into design, development, and operation of AI-driven solutions.

You will define secure design patterns, perform threat modeling, guide secure development practices, and drive responsible AI security controls across the enterprise, mentoring others along the way.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, or securing enterprise-scale apps and platforms.
• 5+ years of application security including threat modeling, secure design, and vulnerability management.
• 3+ years in AI, ML, or generative AI security domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security standards, guardrails, and secure-by-design patterns for AI apps.
• Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security assessments for AI-enabled systems.
• Guide teams on secure development practices and risk mitigation.
• Define identity, data protection, observability, and governance controls for AI environments.
• Collaborate across engineering, privacy, legal, and risk teams to align security with business needs.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding, threat modeling, and AI security best practices.
