Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer - AI & Agentic Systems to secure the next generation of AI-enabled applications and agentic workflows. You will embed security into design, development, and operation across traditional and AI-driven solutions, defining secure patterns and guiding teams on responsible AI security practices.

You will partner with engineering, product, data, and platform teams to assess risks, perform threat modeling, and drive improvements in security

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, or securing enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
• 5+ years of application security with threat modeling and vulnerability management.
• 5+ years programming in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Go.
• 3+ years creating or securing AI, ML, or generative AI solutions.
• 3+ years with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure design patterns and guardrails for AI and applications.
• Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and secure development guidance.
• Ensure responsible AI security controls across engineering and product teams.
• Collaborate with privacy, compliance, legal, and risk programs.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding and AI security best practices.
