Cricut is seeking a Staff AI-Native Software Engineer to architect a cross‑platform design product spanning desktop and mobile apps, cloud services, and connectivity to cutting machines via Bluetooth, USB, and Wi‑Fi.

The role demands expertise across client apps, backend services, device connectivity, and hardware integration, with a focus on secure, scalable, and delightful software—and a strong emphasis on weaving AI into the product and engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading AI-native engineering initiatives and safe adoption of AI tools.
• Proven track record building cross‑platform products at scale (iOS, Android, desktop, web).
• Strong knowledge of device connectivity (Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, USB) and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Champion AI-native practices while contributing to critical code paths.
• Design end-to-end architecture across app, cloud, and device layers with robust contracts.
• Lead ADRs, architecture reviews, and trace major PRs to ADRs.
• Own planning, estimation, and delivery accountability with realistic timelines.
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance with encryption, auth, and telemetry.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, design, QA, and manufacturing teams.
• Oversee safe shipping, feature flags, and release health with telemetry.
