Job summary

Google's Defense and Consulting Engineering team within Google Cloud Security seeks a software engineer to lead AI integration and secure large-scale systems. You will influence product and engineering practices, with a focus on attacker-resistant design and scalable security platforms.

You will drive security architecture, mentor cross-functional teams, and help scale agentic AI across products and services, while delivering impact at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
• 3 years of experience leading technical projects and providing technical leadership to cross-functional teams.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Lead the integration of AI into both products and engineering practices, driving business and platform evolution.
• Drive the strategy and design of security systems that provide defenders with advanced, AI-powered automation to seamlessly detect, manage and resolve complex security events.
• Lead the technical design of a scalable platform where security teams can discover, deploy, and generate intelligent integrations, unifying and optimizing their end-to-end SOC workflows.
• Oversee the engineering of self-service architectures and AI-based onboarding and adoption, minimizing friction and accelerating time-to-value for new customers.
