Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Member of Technical Staff, AI/ML Engineering, to drive development of cutting-edge AI systems. You will design, implement, and optimize LLM-based solutions using Python and AWS, and build scalable APIs with FastAPI.

You will apply strong math/statistics/physics fundamentals to improve model performance and reliability, collaborating across teams and ensuring high-quality code and documentation for a remote-first workforce.

Qualifications

Advanced degree or demonstrable expertise in math, statistics, physics.
Proficiency in Python for AI/ML engineering.

Responsibilities

Design, build, deploy AI/ML solutions focused on LLMs using Python and AWS.
Architect scalable APIs and microservices with FastAPI.
Integrate LangChain for multi-step LLM reasoning.
Translate complex math/stats/physics problems into engineering solutions.
Apply math/statistics/physics knowledge to improve model performance and reliability.
Maintain code quality, docs, and peer reviews in a fast-paced core team.
Communicate progress through reports and discussions.
