Help Scout is seeking a strong full-stack engineer with a frontend center of gravity to build AI-powered customer experiences. You’ll own from problem definition to production, delivering fast, trustworthy features in a collaborative, customer-fluent environment.

You’ll work across stacks, emphasize UI craft, guardrails, and observability, and stay close to customers through calls and feedback loops. Join us remotely to shape the AI-native product.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React for full-stack features.
• Hands-on in building AI-powered user experiences with reliable UX.
• Comfort with retrieval (RAG), embeddings, and agent-calling patterns.

Responsibilities

• Ship customer-facing AI features across the full stack, including LLM-backed flows and RAG.
• Verify AI output with evaluations, guardrails, and monitoring for production quality.
• Sweat the front-end craft: responsiveness, accessibility, and polished UI.
• Join customer calls and support escalations to feed real signals back to work.
• Define outcomes with PMs, instrument metrics, and iterate after shipping.
• Co-author the solution with PMs and designers to shape product thinking.
• Ensure production readiness: automation, reliability, monitoring, and logging.
• Use AI tools daily and identify opportunities to improve the workflow.
