Job summary

Sauce is hiring a senior engineer to shape AI-powered features across our platform. You will own end-to-end delivery—from API to frontend—building with LLMs, agents, and tool-use, often with loosely defined problems and a fast feedback loop.

This founding-level role demands strong full-stack skills (TypeScript and Python), production experience, and a bias for shipping. You’ll partner with product and operations to deliver pragmatic AI solutions for restaurants and operators.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years shipping production full-stack applications.
• Experience building AI-native features with LLMs.
• Ability to own features end-to-end from idea to launch.

Responsibilities

• Take ambiguous ideas from zero to shipped, designing, building, deploying.
• Own full stack from database to UI.
• Implement evals, telemetry and feedback loops.
• Decide build vs. buy and keep velocity high.
• Collaborate with product and operations to solve real restaurant problems.
• Raise the bar on product quality and user experience.
