Securitas Security Services is hiring a Staff AI Engineer in Elmsford, NY to lead hands-on development of an enterprise AI platform with a focus on agent and API development for mobile and web apps. The role emphasizes zero-trust security, scalability, and performance in Azure, with BYOA, MCP/A2A connectors, and third-party vendor integrations.

You will mentor engineers, review code, and drive GenAI-enabled workflows, balancing rapid delivery with strong security and observability.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of software engineering experience with Python and modern API development.
• Proven success designing, deploying, and observing LLM-powered applications, including orchestrated multi-agent workflow using LangGraph, and scalable RAG systems.
• Hands-on experience building in cloud-native Azure architectures, including Azure AI Foundry, Container Apps, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault.
• Experience building robust API integrations, external system connectors, or MCP and A2A connectors.
• Strong understanding of AI observability tools such as Langfuse for latency, token usage, control-flow decisions, and session analytics.
• Track record of shipping high-impact features quickly while managing technical debt pragmatically.
• Technical initiative to proactively propose new solutions and architectures.
• Low-ego collaboration, with willingness to adapt initial designs based on team feedback.

This role focuses on agent and API development for mobile and web applications, with an emphasis on AI ecosystem architecture, third-party vendor integrations, and secure, high-performing delivery in Azure.

Role Overview

In this hybrid role based in Elmsford, NY, you will help design and deploy an agentic AI platform that supports secure orchestration, reusable agent templates, and connectors. You will mentor internal engineers and contractor teams while ensuring zero-trust security, scalability, and performance in a cloud-native Azure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on development for the Agentic AI platform, emphasizing zero-trust security, scalability, and performance in a cloud-native Azure environment.
• Build and deploy new agents connected to third-party enterprise vendors (such as workforce management and HR platforms) to enable advanced capabilities.
• Design secure, reusable agent templates, orchestration workflows, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent 2 Agent (A2A) connectors.
• Establish Bring Your Own Agent (BYOA) standards, including automated testing and CI/CD release workflows in partnership with QA and DevOps.
• Guide engineering teams through technical code review to maintain technical excellence and enforce AI security best practices.

Compensation

Pay Range: USD $155,000 - $180,000 per year.

Actual compensation is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, work location, applicable laws, and business needs.

Work Location and Travel
