Job summary
Eliassen Group is seeking a Staff AI & Data Engineer to design and build enterprise-grade data and AI solutions on Databricks. The role focuses on strengthening the Databricks platform, onboarding new data sources, and creating reusable ingestion and transformation frameworks.
Experience with modern AI and GenAI engineering across pipelines and semantic layers is required. The position is remote on a contract basis with a W2 arrangement and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, 401k
Qualifications
- Advanced hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services related to data analytics and AI, including EMR and Bedrock.
- Strong Python and SQL development skills; experience building scalable data pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design and build production-grade data pipelines on Databricks.
- Ingest data from enterprise applications, databases, APIs, SaaS platforms, files, and other source systems.
- Build Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architectures and implement change data capture patterns.
- Standardize types, codes, and business definitions across sources; ensure data quality and lineage.
- Develop conformed dimensions and reusable data contracts; enable AI-ready data products.
