Eliassen Group is seeking a Staff AI & Data Engineer to design/implement enterprise‑grade data solutions on Databricks. This remote, contract role emphasizes scalable pipelines, data governance, and AI/GenAI capabilities across cross‑domain analytics with strong focus on data quality and lineage.

The ideal candidate has advanced Databricks/Spark/Delta Lake skills, Python/SQL excellence, and experience delivering trusted data products in enterprise environments. W2 benefits are provided.

Qualifications

Advanced hands‑on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and SQL.
Hands‑on experience with AWS analytics/AI services (EMR, Bedrock).
Strong Python and SQL development skills.
Experience building scalable batch/streaming data pipelines.
Deep understanding of Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architectures.

Responsibilities

Design and build production‑grade data pipelines on Databricks.
Ingest data from enterprise sources and APIs.
Maintain Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architectures and data lake pipelines.
Implement change data capture and data quality monitoring.
Automate deployment, monitoring, and lineage tracking.
